Thank you to all who have been generous to Bishop Molloy Retreat House this past year. You are among those who enabled us to repair our beleaguered roof gutters and to restore the pointing on much of our building. Already we have seen results in the decrease of flooding in our basement - even during hurricane Irene!

Naturally, there is always more to be done. Early this summer we paid almost $8,000.00 to replace our 50 year old institutional dishwasher! Many other maintenance projects still need to be addressed.

I am happy to tell you that our number of retreatants is slowing growing and our financial picture is slowly improving. This past year we managed to spend less than we had budgeted for operational costs! Nevertheless, our current income still does not allow much room for capital repairs and replacements. Our policy is still to hold off on any major repair until we have the money in the bank.

Our accountant has prepared a clear report on our 2010-2011 fiscal year. This report is available in the Bishop Molloy Lounge along with the reports of the previous two years and the report of the 2004-2009 Capital Campaign for anyone who wishes to assess our financial stewardship.

We are gradually moving forward but still need help in order to properly maintain our building. Our only resources are the people who participate in our programs and those others who value what we are. We still need your help!
