Women's Silent Retreat 2010
|
Once again this year I will be facilitating the silent retreats for the upcoming
retreat season. The silent retreats are scheduled for the weekends of February 10 - 12, 2012 &
on June 8-10, 2012. The theme for this year's retreats is "Blessed~Broken~Shared"
"Jesus took bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to his disciples." (Matthew 26:26) Within the
context of silence we will explore the Eucharistic actions of Jesus and how they reflect our own journey. As the chosen
ones of God, we are blessed. As we journey through life, the experiences of ‘brokenness' can bring us to spiritual
maturity and authenticity if we remain open and receptive. As we recognize and name this experience of transformation,
we come to the realization that the gifts that have been given to us must be shared with others. During
the course of the weekend I will offer some input which hopefully will serve as a springboard for personal prayer and quiet
reflection. In addition, the weekend will include an opportunity communal prayer and sacramental reconciliation as well
as liturgy. I will also make myself available to you during the course of the weekend for personal counseling and/or
spiritual direction, if this will be helpful to you. This retreat fills up quickly so we encourage you to register
as soon as possible. The suggested retreat offering of $195 has not changed from last year, but we are asking for a non-refundable,
but transferable deposit of $50.00. We look forward to welcoming you to Bishop Molloy Passionist Retreat Center at
a most beautiful time of the year. Sincerely, Sr. Joanne Fahey, C.P. Retreat Team Member
